St. Edmunds Museum

 

The 19th century brick school house displays a collection of pioneer and historical artifacts on two floors, including old maps,
relics from shipwrecks and lumbering displays. You can see how the pioneers of this area lived many years ago.

The log house "Jacob's Cabin" was built in 1875 by Jacob Belrose, one of the first settlers in Tobermory,
and was moved to the museum in 1971.
It displays furniture and household items that were used in the 19th century.

The Museum is located less than 1 km south of the campground.

Opening hours:
May (starting with the long weekend) and June: 11 AM - 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays

July and August: daily from 11 AM - 4 PM

September until Thanksgiving weekend: 11 AM - 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays

A great rainy day destination. Admission by donation.
